About
Welcome to Osteria Trulli Cucina Pugliese, a hidden gem located at 1510 E Hintz Rd, Arlington Heights, IL. This charming eatery specializes in Pugliese cuisine, offering an authentic taste of Italy right in the heart of the Midwest. With a warm and cozy decor that pays homage to the picturesque Puglia region, the atmosphere is inviting—perfect for date nights or gathering with friends.
Many diners have found themselves enchanted by the exquisite offerings. Anita Szeto describes it as “a total gem,” highlighting the amazing Italian dishes with Pugliese specialties. My experience mirrored this sentiment—the menu features delightful options that transport you directly to southern Italy. Standout dishes like the gnocchi with truffle cream sauce are rumored to be consistently delicious and well-prepared. The freshness of the ingredients truly shines through in every bite.
Nicole and Cathy Steinbuck also echoed similar praises, noting that the food is not only authentic but made from scratch, with generous portions to satisfy even the heartiest of appetites. A warm welcome awaits you, as the friendly staff embodies genuine hospitality, creating a sense of belonging for every guest that walks through the door.
Don’t miss out on the excellent seafood offerings, which have received high accolades from diners like Paula Davis. The house white wine complements the dishes perfectly, enhancing the overall dining experience. Moreover, the unique ambiance, adorned with distinctive decor, adds a special touch to your meal. However, I recommend making reservations, especially on weekends, as this cozy spot draws crowds looking to enjoy authentic Italian cuisine.
In summary, Osteria Trulli Cucina Pugliese offers a delightful culinary experience that is both memorable and satisfying. From the rich flavors of their Pugliese specialties to the inviting atmosphere and excellent service, each visit feels like a trip to Italy. I look forward to returning to this lovely establishment to indulge in their delectable dishes once more.
“ A total gem! Amazing Italian food with Pugliese specialty dishes. Cozy, warm decor with distinctive homage to the Puglia region. Friendly service. Reservations recommended on weekends, especially for groups greater than 4. ”
“ Food was delicious! Adorable place for a date night or girls night out. ”
“ Was really pleasantly impressed by the quality of the food. The service was excellent!!! ”
“ This place is small And many even in the area don't even know that it exists. However, give them a try. The food seemed very authentic and made from scratch. The portions were generous and the food was very delicious. Service was great also and everyone there was welcoming. I would definitely go back. Bread does come for the table. Though I was surprised there was no small side salad with dinner. Other than that, I highly recommend this place. ”
“ Absolutely delicious! I had the gnocchi with truffle cream sauce and it was extremely yummy. The seafood was also top notch, and the house white wine was delicious. The place is also super cute inside. Great date spot. ”
“ Osteria Trulli is an absolute gem! The cuisine is outstanding — every bite is a delight. The carpaccio was incredibly tender, and the Cavatelli Mari Monti was simply amazing, rich with flavor and perfectly cooked. The cozy, charming decor adds to the warm and inviting atmosphere, making it a perfect spot for a memorable dinner. Highly recommend! ”
“ We went there a few days ago and the reason I'm sharing this review is because I'm still getting reminded of how beautiful this place and the food was. Not just that, the people who served us were the kindest and most soft spoken people you could ever meet. I unfortunately forgot their names, it was a middle aged man and a lady. Now coming to the food and dessert, we had pasta, calzone and a walnut based dessert (I truly forgot the names) it was just amazing, the consistency, spices etc were just perfect. The dessert was out of the world, give it a try and I'm sure you'll thank me later. Overall 5/5 for food, service and atmosphere. P.s - they serve good wine too ”
“ Amazing food, friendly service! They don't let you write a second review so I am adding to this one. We plan to dine here as a monthly event when we have an appointment in the neighborhood. It will not allow me to post mire photos but this time with a description of the delicious pasta dish we got again this time. It is called Bucatini Carbonara (Hollow thick spaghetti, crispy guanciale, peas, and a light cream sauce made with organic egg, pecorino romano, and black pepper). We had the Calamari Fritti as an appetizer and of course there was fresh bread - Italian Homemade Bread Filoni. We took a pizza to go bc they are known for their pizza. They will add any toppings you want. They menu only shows their specialty pizzas but we had them make ours with pepperoni and mushrooms. It looks and smells amazing. ”
